Video SnapShot: The Douglas Boys - Hawaii (1959-1963)

The video below (1 min. 31 sec.) is excerpted from those 3-minute home films produced on 8mm film. Yes, that's right -- the days before video. These scenes were shot during the period of 1959-1961 in Hawaii.

The Douglas Boys are the sons of the late James Pryor Douglas, Sr. of Lake Okeechobee, Florida. Featured are Jimmy, Phillip, Ralph and Robby Douglas. The boys are also the grandsons of Charles Ralph Bell, who was the Superintendent of Construction of the Wake Forest College Library in 1953. Their mother is Mildred Lynn Bell, now married to William L. Taylor.
